NT NB SCAN

The NT NB (Nuchal Translucency and Nasal Bone) Scan is a crucial ultrasound test performed between 11 and 14 weeks of pregnancy. It helps assess the risk of chromosomal abnormalities such as Down syndrome, Edwards syndrome, and other genetic conditions. During the scan, the thickness of the fluid at the back of the baby’s neck (nuchal translucency) is measured, and the presence or absence of the nasal bone is checked. These indicators, combined with maternal age and blood test results, provide valuable insight into the baby’s development. The NT NB scan is completely safe, non-invasive, and painless, offering peace of mind during the early stages of pregnancy. At Jantasarvajanik Hospital, we use advanced ultrasound technology and expert care to ensure accurate results in a comfortable setting. Early detection through this scan allows for better planning, informed decision-making, and timely medical support if needed.
